Geophysical surveys
We provide a wide range of geofysical borehole and ground surveys. The measurements are carried out by AGEOS, the subsidiary company of Astrock.
We are specialized in borehole logging:
- Ordinary logging methods such as magnetic susceptibility, density, natural gamma, IP, resistivity, inductive conductivity, caliper, fluid resistivity and temperature, inclination, TEM and sonic.
- Borehole radar method for detecting and calculating directions of fracture zones.
- With optical borehole wall scanner the whole borehole can be scanned optically from inside. Also the directions of visible items can be calculated to establish the rock structure.
- Astrock Specco (PDF,61KB) gamma-ray spectrometer for analyzing U, Th and K content directly from a borehole. Specco is particularly used for finding precious metals. It is often invaluable in detecting alterations in rock.

Hyperdata reporting
Hyperdata report is a special type of database application that links different type of borehole data - logging data, images, videos and drill cores - to each other. For example, you can select a drill core at certain depth, and the other data will move to the same spot. Or you can play a video and see the other data following it.
If borehole images are included, you have a possibility to comment structures and calculate dips and strikes. Just click a structure twice and the result will appear immediately.

Hyperdata software
Astrock Hyperdata Software is a database application to visualise borehole data. Hyperdata means a special type of database system, in which objects are creatively linked to each other. Hyperdata systems are particularly useful for organizing and browsing through large databases that consist of disparate types of information. Astrock hyperdata can display ordinary curves, bars, but also core boxes, scanned images, text, videos etc.
Some tools are also available. Orientation of structures can be calculated on scanned images. Other information can be inserted through customised forms.
Astrock Hyperdata is compatible with Surpac. By selecting a hole and depth in Surpac, Astrock Hyperdata appears with the right data. Structures and depth position defined in Hyperdata can be displayed on Surpac.

OMS-LOGG
OMS-LOGG Borehole Logging System for Grade Control
The OMS-LOGG system measures differences in the characteristics of mineralisation. When a mineral has a dominating property, the developed calibration procedure yields an accurate grade estimation.
